Summer Term 2021
Summer 1 Pre-Learning Tasks
Year 4 have been working hard on multiplication and division in Maths and have thoroughly enjoyed reading our new English book 'Pugs of the Frozen North'. They have been learning all about the Vikings in Topic this term and we have been exploring the meaning of Lent in RE. It has been a pleasure to welcome Year 4 back to school for a busy and exciting Spring term. They have all settled in so well and have really enjoyed seeing their friends everyday. The playground and classroom has been full of laughter and happy, smiling faces!
Spring 1 Pre-Learning Tasks
This has been a busy term for Year 4! We have been exploring Brazil, comparing the similarities and differences between their culture and ours. The children have also been learning about the importance of the rainforest and the impact of deforestation. We have been reading 'The Great Kapok Tree' and discovering how different animals and people rely on the Amazon rainforest. We have also been reading the sequel to Varjak Paw - 'The Outlaw Varjak Paw' which the children have thoroughly enjoyed!
Autumn 2 Pre-Learning Tasks
Year 4 have settled into the new academic year wonderfully. They have been producing some impressive work already and I cannot wait to see what else they achieve this year! The children have been busy reading Varjak Paw, learning about Rome and creating their own family trees. There have been lots of Golden Value tickets handed out and I hope there are many more to come!
