PTFA
Autumn Term 2020
Thank you for all your continued support of St. Osmund’s PTFA.
We are here to raise important funds to support our school, purchasing teaching aids such as the 30 new Google Chrome Books which have been introduced to the school and also the refurbishment of the reception outside play area.
A new decade, a new school term, the PTFA are delighted to publish the results of our recent school fundraising events. The first event of the school year was the popular Disco held on Thursday 26th September. This social event kicked off the Autumn term with a swing and gave us the chance to catch up with friends after the summer and meet the new families who joined our community. The combination of good weather and happy mood resulted in raising an impressive profit of £1000.
The next event set off the start of a number of exciting and varied fundraising events. Firstly, our fabulous Christmas Market on Saturday 29th November. We had a huge selection of stands run by every year group which bought the whole school body together in wonderful collaboration. We would like to thank the year groups who generously donated their resources to keep costs to a minimum, thereby reaping an astounding profit of £4002. the highest in the last 6 years! Swiftly on the heals of the Christmas Market was Late Night Shopping on Friday 6th December. It was a wet, windy night. Our school choir dispelled the darkness and shone through with beautiful festive songs and we raised £190. The following week we held the highly popular Christmas Wreath event on 9th December. This raised a successful £220.
The children’s Christmas cards put the icing on the Christmas Fundraising Gluten-and-Nut-Free-Cake. All the children worked incredibly hard on their beautiful art works for their cards and raised £326 for our school – fantastic work!
Spring 2020
Upcoming Events for this term will include the Infant Movie Night held in the school hall in the the first Thursday of February and Shrove Tuesday will be celebrated with pancakes as usual on 26th February.
Many thanks again to all the school staff, family and friends who work so very hard to make these throughly memorable and enjoyable events
happen and to you all for your very kind generosity and support. The PTFA and the school greatly appreciate all the vast contributions you make.
